How to register for an IFTA license in Arizona

- IFTA/IRP Application

- Motor Carrier (if applicable)
- USDOT number
- Operating Authority
- (MC number) This number must be active before you submit your application. Apply to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Arizona charges a $10 for your initial application, and a $10 annual renewal of your IFTA license.

IFTA licenses must be renewed no later than December 31st of the current year. To ensure timely issuance of your IFTA License, the following renewal requirements must be submitted along with the IFTA Filing Fee of $10.00.

Watch out for these penalties
A late penalty of $50 or 10% of the net tax liability, whichever is greater, is assessed on returns received after the filing deadline. Interest is computed on all delinquent taxes due to each jurisdiction at a rate of 1% per month.
